Research Based Learning

RB Online was developed by Sue Spence, an Australian teacher librarian
It contains background theory, links to sites, practical suggestions and examples of workshops she has given.
There is a PowerPoint presentation which explains RBL which could be used in a presentation to teachers or parents.
Everything on the site is available to us, as long as we ask permission first.

The webquest template and guide page used by everyone

Queen’s University Tutorial  - has a good rubric for RBL projects

A research-based learning site creatted by Sue Cartwright.
Excellent, comprehensive site.

Resource Based Learning
Trace the links back to the Prince Edward site - excellent in many domains.

Best practices in education are cited on this Regina, Saskatchewan site.
There are a lot of linked resources and  teacher tips & tricks!
The section on RBL is found under Independent Study in the navigational bar.

Author of the Webquest site, Bernie Dodge has this site with latest news.

A site designed to sharpen students’ internet skills for searching the web.
