Library Resource Centre

The library at McNeely contains a large collection of fiction and non-fiction books, cassette and book kits, videos, posters and pictures. It serves a dual purpose, acting as an open resource centre and an instructional centre for library and information skills.

Primary classes visit the library on a regular weekly basis to return and select new books. We ask that Primary children keep their two books a maximum of one week. Intermediate students may borrow their books for two weeks. However, books may be exchanged at any time. Parents of younger students are welcome to visit the library with their children before or after school to help them make appropriate choices. While in the library students should be returning or selecting books, reading quietly or working on assignments.

The Library Resource Centre is open to students during instructional time, before school, at lunch hour and after school as determined by the School Librarian. See Hours web page for specific information.
