Classroom Rules and Expectations:

1. All work is to be done in BLUE OR BLACK INK.  (Except for graphs and sketches which are to be done in PENCIL.)

2. Lab safety rules are to be respected and followed at all times.  Infractions will result in large losses of marks.

3. Students are expected to arrive to class on time with all equipment and materials necessary for the class.  When the bell goes, we start.

4. Each chapter will conclude with a chapter test.

5. Students are expected to be considerate and respectful of others at all times.  No exceptions.

6. If an absence(s) occurs, you are responsible for getting any homework or notes that were missed from the teacher or one of your peers.  If extended leave is taken, you must make up the missed work so that you can write any missed tests the day you return.

7. Missed and/or incomplete assignments will be given NO MARKS unless a doctor’s note or legitimate excuse is presented and late assignments will have a 50% deduction penalty.  This is to ensure fairness to all students who respect deadlines.

8. Obviously cheating is forbidden.  This includes:  Copying another person’s work (in the form of an assignment, lab, or worksheet), plagiarism, copying another person’s answers during a test (whether they are aware or not), allowing another person to copy your assignment work or test answers, amalgamating pieces of work from various sources, and other (anything else related).  Collaboration and help is suitable but student work is required to be original and done on one’s own.  No exceptions.  If this occurs at any time on any test of assignment, it will be dealt with immediately and harshly.
