McNAIR EUROPE TRIP 2010 INFORMATION PAGE Updates! All hotels, flight, and ground transportation have been booked.  In addition, 3/4 of the attractions have also been booked, including Wicked, the musical, The Flanders Fields Museum, and Anne Franks House. Student/Parent Meeting: Tuesday Oct. 20th, 2009, 7pm, McNair Library Welcome to the McNair Europe Trip Page!  In March, the school will be offering another trip to Western Europe.  We will be flying into, and out of, London.  From here, we will be taken by coach over the English Channel to Amsterdam, and then work our way south to Brugge and Paris.  We will then depart Paris for Vimy Ridge and continue under the English Channel back to London.  The trip will be a total of 15 days. Students and parents should understand that this is an enrichment opportunity and that students should be in good academic standing.  Students will be missing four days of school and must make up the missed work on their own.  STUDENTS ARE NOT TO USE THIS TRIP AS AN EXCUSE FOR MISSED WORK.  In the event that there are more students interested in the trip than space allows, students can secure their spot on a 'first come, first serve' basis by submitting their cheques.  Students with good behavioural and financial standing in the school will also be given priority.   When on this trip, EXEMPLARY BEHAVIOUR IS EXPECTED at all times.  When moving as a large group, it is imperative that individuals are attentive, responsible and punctual.  Students are expected to put the needs and the movement of the group first.  Student CURFEWS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED to ensure students are safe and well-rested to avoid sickness.  Students are expected to be ambassadors of McNair Secondary School and our home country of Canada. Please note that all parts of the itinerary are mandatory due to supervision issues.  Ensure that you are getting lots of sleep and you are in good health leading up to, and during, the trip!
